Blenheim Palace: An early Baroque masterpiece in England, Blenheim is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This palace was created by an act of Parliament, the gift of a grateful nation to the Duke of Marlborough, who had dashed the ambitions of Louis XIV of France. Blenheim is also the birthplace of the duke's most famous descendant, Sir Winston Churchill.
